Three posts come together here for the gold and for Aust, not because they cite one another. The first presents the Golden King, last king of the ancient kingdom. The second, the Gylden Archives, built under his reign in the south of Aust. The third, Duskshade, a spirit into which those who died seeking gold in South Aust were fused.

The Golden King

“The last king of the ancient kingdom, the Golden King,” according to @ArcheAgeChron. He is credited with having shaken the world with the power to create gold. It is said that, on the day his kingdom fell, he shut himself behind golden walls and there drew his last breath.

The post adds that, after countless years, rumors have begun to circulate: the resting place of the Golden King, lost for so long, is said to have been found. It leaves two questions open: where he lies, in that dream it calls eternal, and what fate would befall the world if he awoke again. They are not answered here.

The Gylden Archives

The Gylden Archives were built in the golden age of the south of Aust, under the reign of the Golden King. They came to hold books, records, and treasures beyond number. To display his wealth and his luxury, the king decorated them magnificently. The post presents the image as concept art.

A rumor is going around: during the war, part of its most precious objects was hidden deep in the archives and was never recovered. The text asks that one notice the name Gylden and asks what truly waits in there. It does not say.

Duskshade

They died chasing gold in South Aust. Greed outlived them. Twisted by obsession, their spirits fused into one: Duskshade. Now it strikes down anyone who dares to draw near, on the idea that everyone seeks the same gold it could not obtain in life.

GAP: prior lore would be needed to know what Aust is; these posts only say southern Aust and South Aust.

GAP: the rumor about the Gylden Archives speaks of “the war” and does not say which war it is, so it is not identified with the 25-Year War.

GAP: one post says southern Aust and another South Aust, and neither makes clear whether it is the same name.

GAP: Duskshade shares the gold and South Aust with the Golden King's setting, but no post links him to the king; he is in this chapter because of the index, and the location remains in doubt.
